The end of the Rally in Lagos in the Algarve. Really enjoyed our time in Lagos and we stayed on for an additional week. Lovely marina and a short walk over a bridge to the town. It was sad to part from many new friends, but lots of plans were made to meet up later in the season at various locations in the Med.
No more Sardines!
The end of the rally is here,
We celebrated with yet more wine and beer.
To the restaurants of Lagos we did flock
To eat lots, including steak on a hot rock.
An excellent final prize-giving and dinner,
For the walking quiz we were a winner.
Nicks photos entertained us all
As they were projected onto the restaurant wall.
The next day and many a sore head to be had,
A BBQ we planned to avoid feeling sad.
Gordon proved his expertise at cooking
And the pontoon seemed to sink as we were looking.
And so the day arrived that people and boats started to leave,
Thankfully we were given a reprieve.
Sue and Ross did stay until Saturday
So we day sailed and lunched in a bay.
Having said farewell,
With many stories to tell,
We planned our next move,
After the Rally it will be tough to improve.
